MemberIs there a way to have the “Event List” view show only the first (or the next upcoming) recurring event? As it is now, the “Event List” is flooded with what looks like duplicate events.
For instance, say you have an event (Event A) that runs once a week for 12 weeks. After that, a second event (Event B) runs once a week for 12 weeks. The Event List view will show all 12 of the Event A entries, then all of the Event B dates. In my case, the user has to page through to the third set of results before they even see there is a different event coming.
Is there a way to make it show just TWO events in the Event List? For example, an entry for Event A and and entry for Event B?

MemberHey Tony. Thanks for the note. This may be possible, but it’d definitely require some tweaking to get there. I’m not aware of any methods off-hand; let me see if our developer Jonah can offer any suggestions on his end.

MemberThanks for the response. Can’t wait to hear what Jonah comes up with.

ParticipantI’d second this request please. Recurring events are why I just paid for Pro – they’re a god-send, but I don’t want them filling up my events list.
Thanks.

MemberHey guys. Just a heads up that I talked this over with Jonah today, and we agreed this is worth proposing for a future release of the plugin. No guarantees as to when/if it’ll make it into the core code but we see value in it so I suspect it will be in the post-2.1 range.
In the shorter term, I’ve asked one of our advanced devs to take a look at this and see if there is a brief tutorial he can share on how to hack this together until something more substantive enters the code base. Stay tuned.

MemberJust another follow-up here. This is looking to be a more time consuming task than we’d initially expected, and our devs are going to have to jump deeper in and take a look. If we can, we’ll provide a patch via a response to the forum post or a blog post shortly. But it may have to wait until 2.1 depending on where in the code the issue occurs.
Sorry I couldn’t offer up more here. Let me know if you have any other questions.
