Set the default MONTH in Calendar Widget

hi
is there any way I can set the DEFAULT month in the CALENDAR WIDGET?
i have EVENTS that are in OCTOBER but the calendar widget is displaying the current month [September] yet there are none for September. So i would like the calendar widget in my sidebar to jump directly to OCTOBER when the page loads

how do i do this?

Hi,

Yes we have something that can help you out. It does not set a default month, but instead “fast forwards” to the next month it finds with an event in it.

Try adding this coding to your theme’s function.php
