Same Calendar Servicing 2 sites

Hi Guys,

We currently have a site where we use Events Calendar Pro to power our regional events. There’s another site which is run by the local chamber of commerce of which we are members, who also post events for the same region. We’re talking to the president of the chamber to find ways to stop overlapping our work, as in sharing our calendar and allowing them to post events on our site, but also wanting those events to appear on their site too.

Is there any way, (we’re also in charge of the chamber’s website) to share our events calendar pro engine on their site – ( we would convert the chamber’s site over to WordPress as it’s using Joomla right now)?

My question basically is, would there be an easy way for say the chamber’s secretary to post an event on our site and have it appear on the chamber’s site too. Like for example, if we had a shared google calendar and both sites were subscribed to a central “feed”?

Is there a way to do this? Add an event and have it appear on the chamber’s site immediately too – I just can’t get my head around it. Any solutions would be welcome? Hope I’m clear.

Hi Noel,

The only thing I can think of would be to use something like http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/feedwordpress/ – this will definitely handle feeding events to/from any site. The trick will be getting the event meta like start/end date over. You’ll just need to play around with the plugin and try to get it working. I would suggest trying out a demo first before converting the other site.
