Hi – I have been testing Events Tickets plugin before I continue to buy Events Tickets Plus and would like to clarify a couple of things please:

    1. I noticed that when someone submits a RSVP for a free event, I am not aware of it until I go into each separate event to check responses. Does Events Tickets Plus enable an alert to be sent (or an overview page) so I can keep updated on attendee progress? (it wouldn’t be time effective if I needed to go into every event to check this separately). This question also applies to chargeable events too.

    2. I had 2 different people submit 2-3 RSVPs by mistake (as they questioned whether they had clicked the submit button properly) so I deleted the duplicate attendees and then attempted to adjust the number of tickets/places available accordingly. Unfortunately the number on the front end would not update and so it looked like the event had more attendees than there actually was – are you aware of this and is there a way around it please?

    Many thanks

    Hello Sally,

Thanks for using our plugins and welcome back! I would be happy to answer your questions.

Does Events Tickets Plus enable an alert to be sent (or an overview page) so I can keep updated on attendee progress?

This is not a core functionality of the plugin at the moment, however there is a snippet I can share with you for this. Paste the following snippet into your child theme’s functions.php file and whenever there is an RSVP or a ticket order sent on the site, the site admin will receive an email notification of it.

I deleted the duplicate attendees and then attempted to adjust the number of tickets/places available accordingly.

Where did you delete the duplicates?

I just tested this on a local install. I went to the Attendee list of the event, and clicked ‘Delete’ on the specific RSVP. As a result, that attendee got deleted from the list and my stock / availability got adjusted accordingly.

Can you share with me the steps you took?

In your system information I see that you have mismatching versions of the calendar and ticket plugins. Please make sure you update all of them to the latest version and re-test if the stock issue still exists.

I’ll be waiting for the results.

    Thanks and cheers,
    Andras

    Hi Andras,

Thanks for email alert snippet – very useful. I am currently discussing on another ticket how I can add code to the functions.php file without it producing an error…

Re. deleting attendees, this is what I did:

    1. My original event had a stock of 15 potential attendees
    2. A customer mistakenly submitted 3 RSVPs (leaving 12 tickets)
    3. I deleted the 2 two duplicate attendees via the admin area in that event (clicked DELETE on each attendee)
    4. Those attendees were shown as deleted but when I refreshed the tickets total, it remained as 12.
    5. I attempted to then manually adjust the ticket availability to 12 and save it.
    6. This didn’t update it either.

Is there something here that you can see is wrong?

    Thanks

    Hi Sally,

I re-checked you site and it seems there are still mismatching version numbers for our plugins (TEC and EC Pro).

While I try to look into this, please update your plugins to the latest versions and re-check the issue.

    Thanks,
    Andras

    Hi Andras,

Sorry, my Plugins page wasn’t alerting me that there were updates so I assumed they were all up to date. I have gone in another way and updated TEC now.

    Hey Sally,

Happy you figured a way around.

Did you manage to re-check if the issue still exists?

Also a workaround could be increasing your stock from the current number to +3. That will eventually give you higher starting stock, and correct current availability. Would that work?

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
