Revision Support Blocks Admin Create/Edit Events

Hello, it seems that when adding revision support (seen on this thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/view-event-revision-history-in-admin/)(and with this code: http://pastie.org/5516670) that Events can no longer be added or edited from the admin area. Any ideas what is missing or could be disrupted by the revision support?

Hi Kyle,

I’m not even seeing revision support showing up for me running WP 3.5 and 2.0.10 of our plugins. Are you seeing it? It might be a bug I need to report and want to confirm that first.

I am holding off on running 3.5 for a few weeks until a couple waves of bug fixes, so I’m not sure.

Hi Kyle,

We do have a ticket to take a look at adding revisions support but as of now it’s not officially supported. Overall though revisions support won’t be very full fledged because revisions in WordPress in general do not support meta data so even if we did provide support for revisions, none of the event data aside from the content and title would be revision-able.

Oh I see good to know. I am just getting into the revision part of my site, so I didn’t know that. I am trying to add a feature for customers/event providers to submit changes to one another and if approved it updates the event. If revisions don’t support meta though it would probably have to be a new cpt then, so looks like I’ll have to build it from scratch. Thanks for your time and help!
