MemberHi there Michelle. Thanks for the note here. On the responsive end…we’ve had a few questions about this lately, and have indeed been looking into the different routes towards responsiveness internally as well. We’re working on integrating some type of our own responsive templating but that’s still mostly conceptual and a few months out.
In the interim, while there are no themes specifically built for it that we’re aware of, in general we’d recommend Brandon at Epic Era’s work: http://themeforest.net/user/epicera/portfolio. The responsive code is solid and you can get list/single view working pretty well out of the box.
Hope that helps and please let me know if you have any other questions, or if I can elaborate on the above.

MemberYes. My site is already responsive. The only challenge we have is that on small screens the event calendar gets totally cut off. A simple solution would be a date picker and just display everything by DAY kind of like the ‘upcoming events’ is displayed – therefore eliminating the calendar view for small screens. Either that, or make the table responsive somehow. I dunno, but we need a solution as our customers are viewing our site on mobile screens more and more every day.
Thank you!

MemberThanks for the follow-up, Michelle. Got it. The best I can suggest at this point would be to wait for the official support I mentioned above…we realize there is an increasing demand for it and are working on it now. As soon as we’ve got something to share we’ll definitely announce it on here.
Thanks for your patience & support in the interim. Let me know what else we can do.

ParticipantHi Michelle and Rob,
I have an additional question about making the Calendar more responsive. I currently run the grid view on my homepage and love it. However, my ideal situation (right now) would be that mobile viewers would be automatically given the event list view instead.
Are there resources already for this kind of option? If not, I’d so appreciate some help figuring out how to code this.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Beth,
Depending on how you’re including the grid on the home page you might try some conditional PHP code to detect what the current viewport is and then include the list instead. I have no idea how to check for whether a user is viewing the site on an alternative device vs. desktop in PHP though. You’ll need to do some research. Good luck!
