ParticipantIs there an easier way to flush attendee lists than the one described here?
We repeat the same event (class) each term and prefer to simply update the stock levels each new term, but this creates a situation where ALL previous purchasers (students) show up as current attendees which is confusing the hell out of people here.

MemberHi there LMA,
Thanks for getting in touch with us! I can help you here 🙂
First let me start by saying that I don’t think this is a great idea. The plugin is not built to work this way and most probably sooner or later there might be incompatibilities. Can totally be done, and as Geoff pointed out in his threads there will be some dirty work to do such as resetting database fields (which can be done from code). It’s probably easier to duplicate the event and add new tickets to it, Do you think that might work? This plugin might help.
Anyway, you can manually delete the generated tickets (from the attendee screen in the backend), and then reset the fields that Geoff mentioned. That should leave you in default state. You can also develop a script to do this.
Please let me know if this helps,

ParticipantThanks – we are using the duplicator plugin to duplicate events/classes, but we still get the attendee carry over from the original event/class. And sometimes, not every time the permalink is changeable, other times it appends the new link to the old link.

Does this means the new event has the same tickets and attendees OR the sample ‘duplicated’ tickets which hold ‘a duplicate’ of each attendee?
Please let me know about it and I’ll try to figure out the most practical way of doing this,

ParticipantI don’t understand the difference / nuance.
But I think its this: the new event has the same tickets and attendeesJanuary 23, 2017 at 7:01 pm #1222703Nico
MemberHi there,
I don’t understand the difference / nuance.
As the duplicator is not creating new tickets / orders, maybe a snippet can ‘unlink’ the old tickets leaving the event ‘clean’. You’ll need to manually create the new tickets thou. If this is the part you are trying to automate then I don’t think that’s easy. Does this makes sense?
Other option could be to have a draft ‘template event’ without tickets. You could create copies from this event, adjust the details and publish them.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
