ParticipantHi,
I’ve looked at this: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/reoccuring-event-shows-multiple-times-in-loop/It doesn’t really work properly, if you limit posts to 3 events on the home page and not show re-occuring events then it gets 3 posts if all are reoccuring it only shows 1 event because the rest are repeating, HOWEVER the loop does not continue to show the next non-reoccuring event, because it already has 3 posts.
This is a bug in the system I believe, i think there needs to be a option to fix this. Would you agree? Are there any updates for this in the future?

ParticipantI’ve just read this:
I am wondering if there is an update on when 3.0 is coming out? Cliff is right and the reoccuring events is a major issue for me as well.

MemberHi Luke – sorry for the delay in answering, we must have missed you after you posted on Friday and we don’t typically work weekends (though there might be one or two exceptions, but we don’t guarantee anything there).
I’m afraid we can’t give a fixed deadline for the release of 3.0. It’s being put through it’s paces right now (beta testing) and it’s public release is going to depend on how quickly that proceeds, what problems might be thrown up, etc.
To go back to your original question:
It doesn’t really work properly, if you limit posts to 3 events on the home page and not show re-occuring events then it gets 3 posts if all are reoccuring it only shows 1 event because the rest are repeating, HOWEVER the loop does not continue to show the next non-reoccuring event, because it already has 3 posts … This is a bug in the system I believe, i think there needs to be a option to fix this. Would you agree?
To be clear, is this in relation to some custom code you have written?

ParticipantI’m having the same problem of recurring lists of single events within the event and my client is anxious as she gets huge traffic around this. Can you give us an indication of when the next version will be out that will fix this? I can’t just say to her maybe in the next month or so… That’s bad customer service and boy would I cop an earful from her.

MemberHi jayc, no I’m afraid I can’t indicate when 3.0 will be released, but we hope it will be soon 🙂
Are you absolutely sure this is the same problem experienced by Luke? If not, simply to avoid confusion, please feel free to go ahead and create a new thread.
Luke: do you require further support here/is this in relation to custom code or a problem with the “native” output of The Events Calendar?
