Removing state drop down field from Venue details

hi,

I have set the default country to United Kingdom but the select a state drop down with American States still displayed.

Is there a way to remove that field?

Nice catch and sorry about that. It is indeed a bug but the good news is that it a fix for it will be shipped in the The Events Calendar 3.10, which will be released very soon. We will do our best to follow up with you here directly when that’s available, but do please keep you eyes open for the next release. 🙂

Sorry to gatecrash this thread but is there a way to either remove the state and country field altogether (all our events are in the UK os don’t need either).

Thanks for chiming in here. Removing the field altogether would require touching core plugin files (as described here) , though I would not recommend that route.

I’m going to go ahead and close this thread while the fix for Derek’s issue is awaiting release, but we will do our best to follow-up here when we have more to share. And do please feel free to open a new thread if there are any other questions in the meantime. 🙂
