ParticipantHello. I have a couple questions regarding Recurring Events. Specifically the rules and tooltip display.
1. If I added a Rule that is no longer needed. How do I remove that rule from all recurring events? I only see an “Add Another Rule” button. There is no way to delete a rule that is already added. I upgraded to PRO v3.12.1 because it mentioned a “fix for a bug preventing the removal of recurrence rules”. https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/release-events-calendar-pro-3-12-1/ . But still not seeing it.
2. I set up a rule for a recurring event for every first Thursday of the month at the same time for 1.5 hours. When I’m on the event detail page and I rollover the “Recurring Event (See all)” text, I get a tool tip bubble that says ” , and An event every 1 month(s) on that lasts 0 day(s) and 0 hour(s) with no end date”. I anticipated the tooltip would repeat what the actual rule is (that is stated on the event edit page) “An event every 1 month(s) on the first Thursday that lasts 0 day(s) and 1.5 hour(s) with no end date”. Am I doing something wrong in my rule setup?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

MemberHi,
Thanks for using our plugins. I can help out here.
If you set a Recurrence Rule to Once it should remove that rule and if you set an Exclusion to None it will remove that rule.
Does that not work for you?
As the for the tool tip. I tested on the same scenario that you did and got the same wrong message there. So it appears to be a bug.
Are you seeing a wrong tooltip on any other recurring events?
Let me know and we can go from here.
Thanks

ParticipantAh-ha. That removed the unwanted rule. I was setting the first rule to “Once” and it kept them both. Changed the first rule and set the second to “Once” and that did the trick.
As for Tooltip.
I created another event that is once a week on Tuesdays (lasting for 1 month) for 1.5 hours. The tool tip was closer, but it still says 0 hours.
“An event every 1 week(s) on Tuesday that lasts 0 day(s) and 0 hour(s), the last of which will begin on October 31, 2015”September 30, 2015 at 11:55 am #1010170Brian
MemberOk glad that helps on the first issue.
The second appears to be a bug and I am seeing if we have an open issue or I need to create a new one to address.
Thanks

ParticipantOk, thanks for the update and your help. I’ll look for a future update to remedy the bug.
For now I will just see if I can hide the tooltip using css. Thanks again Brian!
