ParticipantHi

Just want to let you know that The Events Calendar PRO 3.12.3 just released today and includes a patch for this issue. Please do check it out and let us know if you continue to experience the issue in a new thread—we’d be happy to help.Cheers and thanks for reporting this!

We also tested it by creating a new recurring event after the installation of the patch – no difference.
Please look into this again, thanks.

ParticipantI’m sorry to hear about this @andreas!
First can you create a new event with exclusions and share a screenshot of it like you did with this one in your original thread? → http://weberand.myhostpoint.ch/kulturmarkt/test/exclusion.JPG
If possible, can you temporarily set your site to be in English before you take that screenshot? I’m embarrassed and sorry to request this! But it might make it easier to see exactly what your settings are, in context.
After doing that, can you upgrade your site’s version of WordPress to 4.3.1 instead of its current version, 4.2.5? That may make a difference here.
Thank you!

ParticipantThanks for your swift reply.
As the WP version might make a difference, I upgraded first to version 4.3.1 and created a new event later.
The problem persists, here are the screenshots:

ParticipantThank you for your patience with this issue Andreas!
I’m having some trouble recreating this exact issue – I’m curious, can you make another recurring event just for testing purposes that occurs, say, “weekly”? And if so, if you add some exclusions to this, do those exclusions work?
I’m just trying to determine if Exclusions don’t work altogether, or if it’s only some specific configurations that seem to cause the problems…
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Andreas,
I removed your login information since we cannot log into user sites for any reason, but I appreciate you sharing that and being so cooperative as to want to let us in at all!
Your site’s behavior is odd – weekly exclusions and such do work for me, but there is still a bug here with the type of exclusions you originally reported.
I am sorry that our last release did not fix this! We’re working hard on the next release and this bug is one of the main things we’re hoping to fix.
Sincerely,
GeorgeOctober 18, 2015 at 8:19 pm #1015707Peter Whitcombe
ParticipantI am having the same issues – only purchased EC Pro last week. Created a recurring event with an exclusion but the exclusion is not working – that is, the event is showing on the Calendar for the day that the exclusion is set for.

ParticipantI’m sorry to hear this Peter!
We are working hard on a fix for this – to help us test our fixes, can you share exactly what your event recurrence setup was? The easiest method to share might be to just take a screenshot of your event’s recurrence information in the edit-event screen; then, upload this screenshot to a site like Imgur.com and share a link to that image here.
Thank you!

ParticipantHey Peter,
Your reply is unfortunately empty here! 🙁 What content were you trying to share? If it was an image, I’d recommend the exact procedure I wrote about in my most recent reply before this one. Don’t try to embed or HTML-encode images, just paste their URLs in…
Thank you!

ParticipantThank you so much for this @Peter!
I have been able to reproduce your problem too, just like I did with Andreas’, so I have made a detailed development report with your guys’ screenshots included as reference. Thank you both so much for sharing your screenshots, that helps more than you might think! 🙂
I’ve set this bug as a “Priority-1” item in our bug tracker, so hopefully we can get some development time on this very, very soon. I will also mention it in our development meeting today, so stay tuned to plugin updates – this is on our radar very prominently now and we’re working on a fix!
Thank you,

ParticipantI am having the exact same problem, but with mixed results. I got one recurring event with an exclusion to work, but not a second recurring event I tried to set up basically the same way.

ParticipantThanks @Annette – stay tuned for the fix mentioned above!
