ParticipantWhen changing an existing recurring event and clicking on update then a little pop-up occurs in the center of the window titled: Saving Recurring Event and two buttons at its bottom with captions “Only This Event” and “All Events”. But the whole document with the pop-up-window is overlayed with grey color and nothing is clickable. I have to go back in the browser and everything I changed of the event is lost.
The only way I could do that job, is to set the event to not recurring, changing all I want to change and updating it. Then changing the event to recurring again and updating once more.
But that’s no good practice. Is that a bug, how can it be resolved?
With regrads and hoping for usefull answers.

MemberHi Tom,
Sorry for the inconvenience. We are aware of this and it should be fixed in one of our upcoming maintenance releases. In the meantime we have a workaround (posted in the Useful Code Snippets list over on the right) which you might be interested in:
Fix for Update Recurring Events Dialog
Does that help here?

ParticipantI just ran into this on a site that’s still running EC Pro 2.0.11–so it’s not just a V3 issue. And the workaround Barry referenced worked for it as well (thanks!).

ParticipantHi Barry, yes it is working with that fix. But I put the snippet in the themes functions.php. I use the strinking theme, that has an other issue that corrupts the TEC event setup. Kaptinlin is looking to solve the problem (it is an conflict in the chosen class for the dropdown menus). I’m telling that, cause therefore I must switch the theme, when setting up new venues or events, and when I forget to switch back, the update-problem with the recurring events is back. I hope you will fix it soon with a little patch or an update for TEC itself.
But thanks anyway!August 30, 2013 at 6:02 am #63789Barry
MemberGreat that the fix is working – and, again, we should have a substantive fix for this arriving in one of our soon-to-be-arrive maintenance releases.
@t3admin: that’s a shame – but if that’s the workaround you need to use would it be possible for you to add the snippet to your alternative theme’s functions.php file, too?August 30, 2013 at 9:13 am #63831Thomas Bügel
ParticipantOK Barry, I will do that and wait for arriving the next maintenance release of TEC PRO. Will I’ll get informed about that?

MemberYou should see a prompt in the WordPress dashboard / specifically in the plugin admin page informing you of a new update 🙂
