ParticipantI have created a recurring event for a class that is held in two sessions. I would like the class to show up on both days (it is now) but want to remove the fee from the second date. You can see my page here: https://photogym.club/class/scan-it/all/ The class “Scan It” is one class with two sessions but it looks like it is two classes because it is showing the fee in both places. Can I remove it on the recurrence?

MemberHi.
Are you talking about using Event Tickets (ET) / Event Tickets Plus (ET+) or just the event’s “Event Cost” text entry field?

ParticipantHi Cliff,
I changed the way I am configuring the multi-day classes and turned off the month view so people won’t be confused. A not-so-elegant workaround. The issue was that it was showing the “Event Cost” text entry field on each day of the series, making it appear that each day requires payment. Confusing. I would go back to using a series so I could offer the month view, which I think people would like, if I could figure out how to remove the cost from all of the days in the series except the first one.
A side note: I hadn’t been using Event Tickets until I read your reply (didn’t know it was a “thing”). I went and checked it out and am now using it also. So, thanks for pointing me in that direction 🙂

MemberI’m glad Event Tickets is on your radar now! 🙂
Is there anything specific I can help with still?

ParticipantHi Clint,
Can you tell me if it’s possible to remove, or hide, the “event cost” on series dates after the initial one?

MemberI revisited your link and I see you’re using Event Tickets Plus (ET+) on a recurring event. Unfortunately, ET+ doesn’t currently support PRO’s recurring events.
If you start to create a ticket for a recurring event, there will be a little question mark notice that reads:
Currently, tickets will only show up on the frontend once per full event. For PRO users this means the same ticket will appear across all events in the series. Please configure your events accordingly.
You should add your vote to this existing feature request for Event Tickets to support PRO’s recurring events.
Something some users are doing right now is using PRO’s recurring events to populate their events calendar but then breaking each occurrence from the series to turn them into single events — basically using PRO as an event generator but not actually using its recurring events functionality on the front-end. Others are just dealing with the tickets on recurring events even though you can’t then tell which occurrence they reserved the ticket for… use this information for your own reference but please don’t take it as any sort of recommendation.
All that said, for your specific use case, you might be able to get away with adding a ticket to a recurring event and then add some CSS or PHP to make it not appear on the recurrence instances, only the main/initial instance of the event.
If this sounds like what you would want, please explain why only 1 event is appearing at your link instead of both and I can try to advise from there.
Thank you.

ParticipantHi Cliff,
Thanks for the follow up. I worked with it a bit this morning after reading your reply. I will add vote to the existing feature request for Event Tickets to support PRO’s recurring events. In the meanwhile, I think I am happy with the workaround I’m using. I do appreciate all of your help with this!
