ParticipantThis morning I updated to WP 3.6 It looks like they installed an older version of jQuery, 1.10 with it – or I may be wrong. I did have an issue with the slider on my site because of that, but I installed jquery updater plugin and it seems to have fixed it.
However… now I’m trying to update a recurring event. It used to bring up a window which asked if I want to update just this event or all. Said window does come up but the whole screen is darker and I can’t click anywhere. I have to refresh in order to get out of it. I’ve tried it in both FF and IE, latest versions.August 5, 2013 at 7:28 am #58819Barry
MemberHi wwa,
This seems to have cropped up in WP 3.6 and we’ll definitely try to get on top of it as quickly as possible.
Thanks for your patience!

ParticipantOK. I got the latest update of EC (3.0.3), which says it’s compatible with WP 3.6 and no luck.

ModeratorSo you’re loading a non-default version of jquery on your site?

ParticipantHi Andy – thanks for helping. You’re probably right. After the WP 3.6 update, I did have an issue with the slider I’m using giving me a jquery error. This issue with EC was there the moment I updated WP. I installed jQuery Updater plugin and the issue with my slider went away, but the one with EC continues.

MemberWP 3.6 ships with jQuery 1.10 (which is the current stable version of that library) – this change has unfortunately caught us out with our recurring event update dialog and may also be impacting on other plugins/features of your theme such as the slider – though it’s great to hear you resolved that one.
We did actually put a fix in place for this problem based on what we saw during the beta phase of WP 3.6, however a last minute change before the stable release seems, unfortunately, to have thrown that fix. We’re progressing this as quickly as we can and hope to push another maintenance release or hotfix out shortly to address this.
As always, thank you all for your patience and support.

ParticipantSounds good. I’ll wait for the fix.

MemberNo problem at all – depending on what you’re comfortable with and how urgently you need to update any affected events you could try the workaround posted here:
tri.be/support/forums/topic/recurring-event-prompt-dims-screen-and-is-unclickable/
But we do hope to get on top of this one ASAP so even if that doesn’t work in your case / isn’t something you’re at home with we’ll hopefully be able to deliver a definitive fix shortly in any case.
