    Is this a development site? Would you be happy for us to log in and take a look? Do bear in mind though that, without wanting to scare you away from this idea:

    * You would be responsible for backing up the site before we do this and restoring that backup if needs be
    * There would be some amount of disruption with plugins being deactivated and the theme changed

    Is that a possibility here?

    Barry, with all due respect, I do understand you’re a contractor and not a developer. Could you please have a developer from Tribe get involved?
    Yes I have no problem with Tribe developers logging in.

    Hi there wwa. Thanks for the follow-up here. I wanted to jump in here to provide a bit of clarification on our support system. I can absolutely understand your apprehension towards giving a contractor access to your site, but I should specify – to be 100% transparent with you – that every single person on the team (support, QA, development, design) is a contractor. That’s how our entire company is structured and we don’t have any devs who are employees. So while we can rope in a developer to take a look here, I want to make sure you’re aware that – like Barry – they too will be a contractor.

    That said, we only have people on this team who we trust, can vouch for and who we know are adequately representing us as the face of Modern Tribe. There has never been an issue where a member of our team violated that trust and if there were you should know that we’d take immediate action to rectify it. While I realize that assurance might not be enough to make you feel fully confident, I stake my name personally (as well as that of the company) on this claim.

    That said, since this is generally our standard practice for providing support, there unfortunately isn’t much we can do if there’s a requirement that contractors not be allowed the access they’d need to fully test. I want to do what we can to get you sorted here, and we are committed to helping best we can. But if you think it’d make more sense and would feel more comfortable with a calendar solution backed by a support team of full-time employees, please let me know so I can get you a refund (thus allowing you to take your $ and put it towards something that better met your needs).

    Thanks again for your feedback and patience. Don’t hesitate to reach out if I can clarify or elaborate on anything.

    Rob, thanks for jumping in. I’m sorry you spent all that time writing the above you have misunderstood what I said. I never mentioned anywhere I don’t trust Barry or anyone else who works for you. I thought my post was clear, but I guess not. What I am getting frustrated about is that I keep going back and forth with someone who, not his fault, is not the developer and clearly doesn’t have the technical skills to resolve this issue. Again, nothing against him, I just need a solution. I’ve answered all the questions Barry had. He said on the 31st “I’m going to have to seek some help from another team member as I’m afraid I have no idea what could be causing this.” Yet there’s no other team member who has jumped in yet to help resolve this. I don’t care if it’s Barry or Larry or Jerry – I’m just looking for a solution.

    You also asked me to create an account for you to look at it but you haven’t give me an email address where to send that info.

    Hi again, wwa! Thanks for the follow-up, and no apology needed….that’s my job 🙂 I appreciate the clarification too. Admittedly the note did come across to us as more a lack of trust issue, and it’s relieving to hear that’s not the case.

    Regarding the issue here: I just checked our internal ticketing system, and I do see we have a ticket for our developer Jessica here to address this pending an answer to Barry’s questions from 7/31. Now that we’ve gotten those addressed and confirmation on the specifics of your setup, we’re happy to continue helping here as best we can.

    I hope you’ll understand that while we’re committed to helping everyone as best we can, there are limitations to our response time. The most we can guarantee at this time is a response to a user’s reply within 24-48 hours during the business week, and by reviewing the thread here it appears as though we’ve met that commitment…but please let me know if I’m misunderstood there. We do want to get this addressed both for you and so other users who find themselves in a similar position down the road have an existing thread to review.

    If you can confirm once again that you’ve deactivated all other plugins & reverted to the default Twenty Twelve theme (so you’re just running our plugin on a clean install), and that the issue persists there, it does sound like sending over credentials as Barry suggested is a logical next step for us to investigate. Please confirm in doing so that you’re aware of the risks as outlined in his August 1 note. In terms of creating/sending the account, we encourage users to send them via the private messaging function here on the site. If you’d prefer you can email them to pro /a/ tri.be with a link to this thread.

    OK Rob. And yes, I’m fully aware of there are many others with issues that that you have a 24-48 hr window during the business week. So yes, that’s a misunderstanding, too. What I’m trying to say is, again, no developers who may know a bit more have responded yet. Case in point: you mentioned there’s a ticket for Jessica since 7/31 but I don’t see her here responding.
    Like I said, I don’t have an issue with anyone from Tribe logging in. I’ll create a user and make a private reply for that.

    Thanks for providing those details. Again, I seem unable to replicate the problem – here’s what I did:

    • I logged in and created a new event beginning October 19 and recurring every week with the final event on November 9
    • I’ll share a link to that test event in a private message below (so as not to expose your URL publicly) – once you’ve reviewed it of course do feel free to delete it
    • The event was published and the dates were as expected – they did not all change to the same date
    • I edited the event by adding more information to the description – again there was no problem, the dates remained extant

    Though I did not wish to leave test data on your site unnecessarily I felt it was important you review it along with the above steps in order to determine if we had misunderstood anything on our side.

    What I’m trying to say is, again, no developers who may know a bit more have responded yet. Case in point: you mentioned there’s a ticket for Jessica since 7/31 but I don’t see her here responding.

    I can understand your confusion and frustration on this point, but the fact that we are involving a member of the dev team does not always mean they are going to enter the thread directly (and most often they do not).

    Right now I feel we should focus on establishing a solid understanding of how to replicate the problem – especially now that I have found I can’t replicate this even on your own site. It’s entirely possible that’s because I’m misunderstanding your description and directions – so we should definitely clear that up first of all.

    Thanks – I’m confident we’re moving closer to a solution.

    Thanks Barry. OK, I understand what you’re saying, now, about them not being directly involved. But you do understand that I have no way of knowing IF they’re getting involved or not, right?

    I can’t see what you wrote me in the private message. But I do see the test event. And yes the issue is there: date for each of those 4 events, on admin end, it shows as 2013-11-02.
    Also, my other issue was with the “Hide From Event Listings” which wasn’t working as I understood it’s supposed to work: show only the first event on the event listing widget, but turn the others off (ones which I select “Hide From Event Listings”) – I do want all of them to show on the calendar, however.

    I do understand that and apologize for any confusion. Basically though we wanted to let you know that the thread wasn’t stagnating and we were discussing things internally to progress it further – and will continue to do so if necessary.

    But I do see the test event. And yes the issue is there: date for each of those 4 events, on admin end, it shows as 2013-11-02.

    Where do you see this exactly? If I visit the post editor either for the first event in the sequence (…?post=2218&action=edit&eventDate=2013-10-19) or any of the other three (with the obvious exception of the final event which does indeed take place on 2013-11-02) the dates are all correct.

    Similarly in the list of events (at …edit.php?post_type=tribe_events) everything seems in order. The last event is the only one dated 2013-11-02 – which is correct – and the other instances are correctly dated so far as I can see.

    Can you share a screenshot to illustrate what you are seeing and where?

    Also, my other issue was with the “Hide From Event Listings” which wasn’t working as I understood it’s supposed to work

    Because we’re still progressing the first issue and I’d like to avoid any further confusion could I ask you to go ahead and create new threads for this or any other issues you are experiencing?

    “Where do you see this exactly?” – I’ve already said this several times: on the admin area, when I go to edit an event: http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/1592/fkwq.png
    About the screenshot you supplied, I don’t see the dates on my end, not sure where is that screenshot taken.

    I don’t have a …?post=2218&action=edit&eventDate=2013-10-19 – when I click on different ones to edit them, all of them show as …post=2218&action=edit&eventDate=2013-11-02 On the front-end, events show the date correctly.

    OK. So that isn’t what I see or experience when I visit your site. The links to each of the four instances have the correct date in the URL query:

    * eventDate=2013-10-19
    * eventDate=2013-10-26
    * eventDate=2013-11-09
    * eventDate=2013-11-02

    So we’re both seeing different things which is definitely strange. Have you tried logging in using the account you created for us? If you have/do and see the same problem you already are, can you provide any other details that might be pertinent. Though I’d be surprised to learn this was browser related can you confirm what browser you are using when you login?
