ParticipantI have the same issue as described here:
Start date for reoccurring events on admin side changes after update
I’m running latest version. I create a recurring event and after update, all of them get the same date on the admin side, which is the last one. This makes it harder to see which one is which when it comes to editing. In addition, I’d like only the first occurrence to be displayed on the sidebar list widget so I tried to set them to “Hide From Event Listings” but they’re still there.July 30, 2013 at 12:54 pm #57830wwa
Participant*biting nails* Anyone, please?

MemberHi wwa,
Sorry for the delay: that’s definitely a strange issue. Have you been able to try our standard troubleshooting steps here, of disabling all plugins except for those by Modern Tribe and switching temporarily to a default, unmodified theme?
Does that make any difference/does it allow you to isolate either your theme or another plugin as the cause of this?
July 30, 2013 at 8:23 pm #57906wwa
ParticipantIt could be strange cause most ppl might have not have the need to only show the first occurrence of a recurring event. Someone else has the same issue as I do, as the link in my starting comment indicates.
I did deactivate all other plugins. No change whatsoever.

MemberThanks wwa – can I just confirm that when you deactivated all other plugins you also switched to a default, unmodified theme?

ParticipantYes I did. But then I couldn’t see any sidebar at all.

MemberOK, but did it resolve the problem you reported initially, even if it caused another issue re your sidebar? I’m basically just trying to zero in on whatever might be causing the issue so we can focus on why it is happening.
July 31, 2013 at 6:57 am #57966wwa
ParticipantNo Barry it didn’t resolve anything. I did use twenty twelve and I have the SAME issues: recurring events are still showing AND the date does not show on the left hand side of the event name, like it shows on your demo.

MemberFor the first issue – which (quoting from the other thread) is:
I have a reoccurring event starting on October 19th if I click publish or update the start date changes to December 29th only on the admin side. On the front end there is no issue.
I’m going to have to seek some help from another team member as I’m afraid I have no idea what could be causing this.
AND the date does not show on the left hand side of the event name, like it shows on your demo.
Since this is a separate problem can I ask you to create a new thread to avoid confusion? If you could also be a little more specific – perhaps even link to a screenshot – about what you are seeing and referring to from the demo site that would be great (as I’m not absolutely sure what you mean by the date showing on the left hand side of the event name).

ParticipantThanks, that would surely help!
Barry, I’ve already created a separate thread for the second issue – and you’re the one who has responded to that one, too. 🙂July 31, 2013 at 7:23 am #57977Barry
MemberOh, this one? OK! We’ve got so many threads in progress it’s getting hard to keep track. No problem, I’ll move on to that one next.

ParticipantAny other team members able to chime in on this issue?

MemberHi wwa,
Some questions/requests from one of our developers who is monitoring this thread:
* Can you either detail all of the event settings (start date, end date, type of recurrence, frequency etc) or else provide us with screenshots covering the same stuff
* Can you also tell us if when you hit the update button you are applying the change to just one event or all?

MemberIs that screenshot of the correct event? It doesn’t look like it relates to a recurring event (recurrence is set to none).
