Thanks for bringing back the recurrence description field!
However, while the field is there on the admin/edit screen for “new” events (I’m guessing after 3.12? my event was created 10/19/15), it’s not there for “old” events – created back in January for example.
The value of the field for the “old” events does display on the front-end. I just can’t edit it.
(Not a huge deal for me as I had to recreate my two recurring events anyway to get rid of an obscure error, but might be important for those with lots of “old” events.)

ParticipantThank you Terri for letting us know. As you know we rushed that feature out the door a bit due to demand. We probably did not test old events to see if they still work.
I will discuss this with the team and see if it is something we can find a fix for. That way for users who can’t recreate old events, they can still edit the description.
Cheers!

ParticipantUnderstood, and thank you for looking into it!
Can we keep this open until it is resolved (one way or the other) please?

ParticipantHowdy Terri,
I will definitely keep it open as long as I can. Our threads automatically close after 2 weeks of inactivity, and there is nothing I can do to stop it. 🙁 But, even if you get the auto close message we will still update the thread when there is relevant activity, such as when a fix is about to be released for a bug you reported.
I will respond here again when I know whether this is something we plan to fix. Hopefully I will know in the next few days. Have to consult the devs, and they do not keep the same schedule as our support team.
Thanks again for the report!

ParticipantAh! Didn’t know it would automatically update when there is a fix. Perfect 🙂

ParticipantExcellent! Thanks for your understanding. Sometimes our tools aren’t as flexible as we would like.’
