Query about: 'View as Month/Week/Day Options'

Hi guys,

I am researching into the possibility of moving the ‘View as’ options, this is possible more complex then I initially thought.

I wanted to move them out of the bar into a different position, without loosing the Ajax reload.

Have you any past experience with this or any themeing docs? A search returns nothing for me.

Hi Dave,

This would indeed be a fairly tricky customization (though not an impossible one!) and I don’t think I recall anyone else asking about this, which may explain why you didn’t find much when you searched.

Our Themer’s Guide is certainly worth reading through if you haven’t already done so as it covers the basics of safely customizing the calendar.

That said, you’d certainly need to go beyond what the Themer’s Guide covers and would need a good working knowledge of JS and CSS to accomplish this, largely to get over issues like our own plugin’s expectation that the selector will live in the Tribe Bar (since it sets up “listeners” for events taking place in the bar area).

You are also welcome to suggest changes to this behaviour or request new tutorials to guide users like yourself through this kind of change over on our UserVoice page, though simply because we haven’t had many questions about this sort of change (that I’m aware of) I’m not sure how quickly we might deliver on such a request.
