Hello, I have problems translating the plugin to Catalan.
I have translated the most of the words but there are some words that are not translated.
I have updated the .po and .mo files with the .pot file and translated the strings that are still in English, I have upload this files via FTP, but it still doesn’t work.
Can you help me with this problem?

    Hi Ana,

Can you send my way where are you placing this .po and .mo files?

Did you choose the Catalan language on your WordPress administration?

    My Best Regards,

    Hi, sorry for the delay…
I’m translating the .po file with poedit and generating the .mo file with this program also.
The .po and .mo files are placed in the folder ../plugins/the-events-calendar/lang in my site, and yes, I have my wordpress in Catalan.

    Thank you so much.

    Hi Brook,
thank you for your answer, I have still problems with the translation. I did all what I said, but I have strings like “day of”, “view as”… that doesn’t appear translated. Please can you help me? I need to change this…
    Thank you.

Sure thing! It sounds like you might not have the most up-to-date translation files. Which plugins are you translating, The Events Calendar Core and PRO? Are you running the latest 3.9.1 version? If so, you might need to keep a update from the latest .pot file. To do this go to POEdit, open up the file you’ve been translating, and click Catalog > Update from POT File. Select the .pot file from the /lang folder of that plugin. Do you now see the View As and Day Of strings so that you can translate them?

Please let us know how it goes. We are happy to help. A different one of us usually assists with translations every week, so I will fill the next person in on what is going on here. Cheers!

    Hello Brook,
I´ve tried to do what you explain but it doesn´t work. I have all this strings translated in the tribe-events-calendar-ca.po and tribe-events-calendar-ca.mo, but in the web page they are still in english… there is something more to try?
Thanks a lot for your help.

    Howdy Ori,

You can switch to translations by following this guide.

We have had a couple reports, including this thread, that Catalan needs an update and was not translated perfectly. If you are keen to help translate please checkout this guide. That will walk you through the basics of translating. If that is something you can do, and you don’t mind sharing your translation with the community here, we will give you a free license to a plugin of your choice. 🙂

We are waiting to hear back from Ana about translating this. It is basically first come first served, so if Ana shares a complete translation first we will give the free license to her. But, this thread has been dormant for a while now and is actually scheduled to be closed soon, so it is possible Ana is no longer checking this forum.

    Cheers!
