ParticipantHi..since completing the last upgrade I have not been able to get access to the Plugin section of my dashboard…I know this might not be directly related to the plugin update..but though I would ask..my server error log states…

ParticipantHi.. I deactivated the event calendar pro and event calendar through my control panel and all is fine now..so it does look like it is your plugins that are causing the issue…
to restate…I am not able to get access to “Updates” or “Plugins” from the WP Dashboard with your plugins activated.

This sounds like a permissions issue namely, which in any case is the first place to start here to make sure that permissions are accurately configured.
If you are not familiar with re-setting server permissions on your own, then your best bet is to contact your hosting company support and ask them to reset permissions on your WordPress installation. The permissions should be something like 755 recursively, owned by the webserver.

ParticipantHi, I am going to close this now. I was moving my site today to WPEngine anyway and all seems to work fine now…so I do not know what the issue was..will let you know if it re occurs
