ParticipantJust updated to latest plugin this morning and ever since having issues with the permalinks on new events posts.
When saving a draft of a new recurring event the permalink auto generates to something like this:
http://www.examplesite.com/?post_type=tribe_events&p=38231&preview=true
The permalink cannot be edited from that point on.
I should note that this issue appears isolated specifically to new recurring events. De-selecting the event and re-saving a draft allows the EDIT box to the right of the permalink to return. However, once the event has been toggled to recurring then saved, the EDIT box disappears from view.

ParticipantSorry to hear about this Brian!
I don’t notice any issues — to help me investigate, let’s start with what you wrote here:
De-selecting the event and re-saving a draft allows the EDIT box to the right of the permalink to return. However, once the event has been toggled to recurring then saved, the EDIT box disappears from view.
☝️ Can you share a screenshot of this specific “EDIT” box you are referring to? You can do so by uploading the screenshots to this thread. If you have issues with that, you can upload to Imgur.com, Flickr.com, CloudUp.com, or any similar image-hosting site; then just share the links to those images here and I’ll take a look.
Thank you!

ParticipantHi George,
Thanks for following up. I uploaded two screenshots that illustrate the problem. In one, a sample event (for one date only) has been drafted and saved. You’ll notice that to the right of the permalink is an [EDIT] box where you can change the slug.
In the second example, the same event has been given a weekly recurrence element and saved as draft. The URL slug defaults to the /?post_type=tribe_events&p=38471&preview=true and the [EDIT] box, which I would use to change the slug, has disappeared.
First time I’ve seen this bug. Only appeared since I updated to latest version of EC a two days ago.
Let me know if you have any thoughts.
Thanks

ParticipantHey Brian,
I have confirmed that there is a bug here and I have reported this to our development team.
I’m sorry for the trouble here; I will update this thread with news about when this is fixed. It could unfortunately take several weeks before a bug fix truly arrives.
If I have not posted here, then there is no news since my last post here — but I assure you I will update this thread with updates about the status of the bug fix.
Thank you for reporting this!
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can try to help with in the meantime.
Sincerely,
GeorgeOctober 31, 2016 at 12:29 am #1185138K B
ParticipantWe have a similar issue with the latest version 4.3.11 down to 4.3 – when we set a recurring event to private, the permalink becomes a “Permalink: h” and the h clicks to nothing.
If we make the even a single event, it works fine…October 31, 2016 at 7:40 am #1185210George
ParticipantHey @K B,
Thank you for reporting this. This is a separate bug I have just logged and our developers will work on this with all the same details as what I wrote above about the first bug — the fix for the above bug will likely come first before this specific “h” bug for private recurring event permalinks.
But stay tuned to plugin releases for an official fix!
Thank you,
