ParticipantHi,
I’ve a few problems here. I’ve downloaded both Events calendar and events calendar pro. I’ve also downloaded the filter bar so have licences for all. My issues are:
1. In all video tutorials I see, in the first General settings tab, there are options to have your I have no idea where
2. I have no idea what page my calendar is set to? I can go into events, I can “view my calendar”..but I have no idea what page this is set to? Nor can I add it to my menu…as I don’t know what page it is?
3. Lastly, and probably most important! I wish to use the events template for multiple pages on my website which I imagine is a standard request. However, in my page attributes, the Events template does not appear under the dropdown for deciding which template I want my page to use?Any ideas on what’s wrong? I really appreciate anyone’s help. I’m a bit disappointed that after purchasing this licence I have been directed to a forum and not a dedicated support team. I think I have been somehow mislead here in terms of the support I thought I was getting with this plugin.
Btw…you won’t see anything on this website..because I can’t figure out how to put the events (page) template on my menu bar! :O/
Thanks,

MemberHello yvlaw11,
Congrats on upgrading! Once we get this sorted out I’m sure you’ll love it. 😀
Sorry you’re experiencing this right from the start! And never fear! We have a dedicated support team we just use the forums 🙂
First, it might be helpful to check out our primers. They’re quick videos that will bring you up to speed quickly.

1) General settings tab

I’m not sure I understand your first question, but the General Settings Tab is found by clicking “Settings” in the “Events” menuThat will take you too the “General” settings tab

2) Events Page

It may be confusing, but The Events Calendar plugin does not create actual physical Pages, like other plugins. Instead it uses url rewrites, along with pretty permalinks to create a virtual page. What kind of style do you have your permalinks set to? We recommend ‘postname’.
To add the events page to a menu, create a new ‘Link’ style menu item with ‘/events’ as the URL (if your permalinks are set to ‘postname’)
No matter what your style of permalinks, you can find your events on the admin toolbar.

3) Events Template

It sounds like there may be some confusion as to how The Events Calendar plugin works. This is a plugin, not a theme, so there isn’t a template to apply to individual Pages. You can’t transform Pages into calendars with our plugin. With our plugin, all events are put on one calendar on the /events ‘virtual page’, with every event having its own ‘virtual page’ at /event/the-name-of-the-event.
Does this make sense? I’m sure we can get you up and running soon! Let me know if I can answer anything else!
Cheers!
