Mathew
ParticipantI am using the Event Calendar free version for a client site and am getting this error message:
Fatal error: Class ‘Tribe__PUE__Package_Handler’ not found in /home/mattvisa/public_html/downtownlabelle.com/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/common/src/Tribe/PUE/Checker.php on line 200
I can’t get in to wordpress to deactivate it. Can you help?

KeymasterMatthew,
We ran into an issue with the packaging of the 4.3.1 update of The Events Calendar and Event Tickets.
You will need to do a manual update of The Events Calendar to 4.3.1.1
- If you are able to access your site files via FTP, head to the /wp-content/plugins directory and delete the /the-events-calendar folder there. This will not delete event content.
- Once that is deleted, download a fresh copy of The Events Calendar 4.3.1.1 from WordPress.org ? http://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar
- Install this new fresh copy of The Events Calendar 4.3.1.1 on your site.
⚠️ Please Note: If you have Event Tickets on your site, you may also want to do this process for Event Tickets 4.3.1.1, available on WordPress.org here.
Thank you so much for your patience! Please let us know if you have further questions on this matter or anything else we can try to help with.

ParticipantHad the same problem, much to the panic of a client. Glad it was a simple fix.
If this was a problem with the update itself, I wish an email alert had been sent out to all Pro clients to warn them of it.

KeymasterThat’s completely valid criticism. We’ll take that into account for the future. Thanks.

ParticipantHey Zach,
I’m still having issues with another site: https://www.swflsustainability.com/events/. The page goes to a 404 now. I went through the same process and removed the files via ftp, then downloaded a fresh install of the event plugin… help!?!

KeymasterHi Mathew!
I’m hitting that URL and it is loading for me. I’m assuming that means you resolved whatever trouble was happening?
Let me know if you need any other help.

ParticipantI didn’t do anything, so it must have been something that you updated maybe???
I’m having the same problem with this website: http://www.downtownlabelle.com/events
Gets a 401 error after I did everything here. Any idea?

KeymasterMatthew – I just checked the new link you shared and again, it loads fine for me.
I wonder if you have a caching plugin that is causing difficulties. This does seem different than the original issue you reported. If it continues happening, please open a new thread and share as much information about your site setup as possible.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
