ParticipantIn list view I would like to have headings for each day vs. each month. I believe this was how it functioned before upgrading to 3.1 (though could be mistaken). Instead of having a Monthly Heading (i.e. November 2013) with all the events in november under it, I would like to have Daily Headings (i.e. November 1, 2013 etc) with that days events under it.
Is there a way to change this? Thanks!

ParticipantHi Danielle,
It sounds like your default view may have gotten reset in the upgrade. If you go to Events > Settings > Display about halfway down there’s a field called “Default view”.
Is it set to Month? Does setting it to Day make your calendar display the way you’d like?Let me know if any of that helped or you need some further assistance.

ParticipantHi there, I had a similar question about doing this to the List view. Instead of having the Month in the header above the list, I was curious if there was a way to have the events listed by the day of the week (we have the month listed in the meta already). So the header would just say “Monday” or “Friday” etc. and that day’s events would list below it. The Day View is similar but I was hoping to have multiple days of the week in the list view (the Week View doesn’t work well with our site layout).
Thank you!

ParticipantJulie -> Thanks for the response. However, I want to use the list view as a default. Just wanted more headings to break up all the events. Instead of just showing the month (ie. Nov) I wanted it to show the specific days (ie. Nov 15, 2013 etc).
I was able to get it to do what I wanted by making some customizations to the code. You can see my calendar listing here: http://findtimeforfun.com/northeast-ohio-kids-calendar/
The ability to select how you want to group the events in the list view, would be a great feature to include in future releases.
nakturnal -> Are you comfortable updating the code? If so, I can let you know which files we modified to get the headings.

ParticipantHi Danielle,
Yeah! Comfortable enough to make some changes but no pro at PHP. Your calendar is pretty much exactly what I was looking to do but I also wanted to add the day of the week.
Post here or email me at [email protected]
Thank you much!!

ParticipantHi, Danielle. Well done figuring out how to make that customization. Thanks for offering to share that with others.
I love your idea for a the feature request. We’d be most grateful if you’d like to suggest it on our User Voice forum: https://tribe.uservoice.com/
If you’d like to share your code here via a service like pastebin or github, maybe we could make a tutorial for others and credit you for your work.
Thanks! 🙂
