ParticipantHi there,
basically, none of the meta information is showing in the single events template and I can’t figure out why. I am building on a local environment at the moment, so I won’t be able to show you a live version of the site, but I can run any tests you’d like me to. I have already deactivated ALL plugins and reverted to TwentyFourteen theme to check my issue and it has no effect. Is there some setting I’m not seeing to turn on the “organizer”, “venue” and “event info” stuff?Any help would be much appreciated

ParticipantOkay, I just added
<?php the_meta(); ?>to the page and got an empty<ul></ul>. Is it possible that I broke it when I added a custom meta box to the Events post type? It seems normal on the back end…January 19, 2015 at 5:31 pm #934953Josh
ParticipantHey,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
It’s possible that the custom meta may be causing a conflict. Do the fields display on the front-end with that code deactivated?
If so, would you mind pasting the code you used to create the meta box via a gist or pastebin here so we can take a quick look at it to see if there is anything that stands out as a potential conflict?
Thanks!

ParticipantHere’s my custom meta box code. It is a function provided by CMB2, but essentially follows the same format as register_meta (or whatever the WordPress function is).
There is no change when I comment that bit out.
Thanks,
Justinp.s. I don’t think the “Notify me of follow-up replies via email” feature is working on my account.

Participantweird. I just wrote a whole post and only the last few lines made it through.
Anyway, here’s the link to my code.January 20, 2015 at 1:28 pm #935366360zen
ParticipantAHH!! this is crazy. I keep posting the link in the middle of a sentence and it is completely removing everything surrounding the link. I’m about to paste a few versions in hopes that one makes it through.

ParticipantOkay. I just tried the calendar on a fresh install of WordPress with no customizations and the plugin works fine (which I assumed would be the case). However, that doesn’t really get me anywhere besides proving that I’m not going crazy…
Is it worth noting that I have the Filter Bar and the Community Events plugin running on the problem installation?

ParticipantYou know what, I just updated to 3.9.1 and the problem disappeared. It seems that something may have been wonky with the core files (probably my fault). This can be considered resolved.

ParticipantHey
Thanks for following up!
I definitely understand the annoyance of the gist embedding issue on our forums right now. That should be getting cleared up shortly as we iterate on this new site.
I’m glad you were able to get the issue resolved! For the notifications, can you check to see if the notifications were filtered through your spam folder?
Thanks!
