Organisers changing event dates.

This event was imported into my system. It was scheduled for March 5. It didn’t take place. Subsequently, it appears that the organizer has updated the date. It is now scheduled for March 12. It appears that it has the same Facebook event number but a different date. The event hasn’t been automatically updated on my system to reflect the new date, and if I attempt to manually import it, it says that it has already been imported.

I see from this thread that I can resync events using the resynch button. Since posting the above message, I’ve found another event in a similar state. It seems to be quite common for organisers with repeating events to update a single event. As far as I can see, there is no way for me to spot events which need synchronizing. I will have to either check every event individually, or go through every event, including passed ones, clicking the button just in case.

Unfortunately there isn’t a built-in way to resync all the events at a single time. If this happens to be a common issue for the events that feed into your site, you could try setting a schedule for deleting all the events and then re-importing them once a week.

I know it’s not the best solution, however it wouldn’t take long and would be a lot easier than checking each event individually.

I’m sorry I wasn’t able to give you a direct response here but hopefully it helps to get you pointed in the right direction.

I have a similar question.
Is it behaving the same way with imports from iCal?
If an organizer changes the date on an event I already have in my calendar from a previous import, one my reacquiring import happened, will the date be modified? or will it create a new one?
