    Hi! We have an issue where we need to be able to select a Venue that is not a physical location. Is it possible to select “all countries-flag” or create a Venue that is not physical eg. not a country or city?

    Hi Tony: you could create a venue without any geographic information, I guess, but would perhaps tagging be a better way to approach this?

    Thanks for replying.
    I cannot find a way to add a venue without geographical info. When i add a new venue the country option is selected as USA if none is selected.
    Please let me know how this can be avoided and i will try that. If not, the solution you provide does not solve the issue, unfortunately.

    Are you trying to do this through the actual venue editor, or from within the event editor?

    Apologies for the delay Tony. Unfortunately the forum didn’t flag up the fact that you had replied.

    I have no problem creating a new venue with only a name and no geographic information, I’m unsure why you are experiencing something other than this.

    I do see you noted that you tried deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default, unmodified theme – can you confirm if that impacted on what you are seeing (ie, were you able to create a venue without specific street/city/country details under those conditions)?

    No worries Barry, I’m glad for any support.
    I have United State as pre-selected value under “Venue Information / Country” so when i save it will be selected.
    We are using PRO extension and not the latest version of your plugins. Maybe this is sorted in the latest release you have? Do you have a demo site that i can login to and check if i see the same as you?

    No we don’t offer facilities where you can log in and try things out like that, but you are welcome to download the latest version from your account here and try it out for yourself on a test site, for instance.

    If that doesn’t resolve it, perhaps you could change that default setting if only temporarily for the purpose of creating these convenience venues?
