Non-Mosiac Display for Photo Event View

Hello,

I’m a big fan of the Photo event view mode in Events Calendar Pro. But as several other forum members have noted, one limitation is that it always uses a mosaic style of display – where the next post is automatically put under the last one.

This can create unexpected anomalies – where posts seem out of chronological order. In the case of a page I’m working on just now (https://bsia.wpengine.com/events/), I’ve attempted to control picture sizes, but when one image is 1 pixel smaller than another the others fall out of alignment.

Is there any way around this?

It seems that one developer has come up with some PHP and CSS to fix this (https://www.wpfangirl.com/2015/change-photo-view-in-events-calendar-pro-to-equal-height-grid-with-venue-location/). But then this code might need to be adjusted every time the plugin goes through an update. Is there any easier way around this?

Hey Jacob

At this time, the article you referenced is probably your best solution. We don’t have plans yet to change this. One other solution is to force featured images into a specific dimension that meets your needs, but this would likely also impact other posts/pages on your site. https://wpshout.com/wordpress-custom-image-sizes/ could help you set the dimensions if you want to go that route. I’ve done this on client sites before for other reasons.
