ParticipantDear support,
Apologies, I realise I posted this on the pre-order forum.
I’ve just purchased the event ticket pro plugin and tried using it. I’ve followed the guidance, and created a product – ticket type. Once I purchased a ticket, I am not receiving the actual ticket. Just the woocommerce standard ‘thank you for your order’ email.
Also is there no way to edit the actual text on the email or the ticket it self?
Thanks
Gina

MemberHi,
Thanks for using our plugins. I can help out here.
For WooCommerce you need to complete the order before the ticket email is sent.
That is a manual process, but you can do it automatically with this plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-autocomplete-order/
Once you complete the order does the Ticket email then send?
Let me know and we can go from here.
Thanks

ParticipantThanks Brian,
I made another order and and completed it – but again the ticket did not come through.
Couple of other points, the orders are not showing up under woocommerce/ orders side menu. Usually i can see the number of orders here from the dashboard. However when go to the orders page i can see the orders. Also when I go back to edit the product I have just bought, the ticket isnt showing – it just has the option to add the ticket again. I’ve re-entered and saved the ticket about 4 times now, go to purchase it then when i go back to edit the page its gone. Perhaps this is why i’m not receiving the ticket?
I received the woocommerce ‘thanks for order’ as well as ‘my order is completed’ email. That is all
Appreciate your assistance in this matter
thanks
Gina

MemberHi,
Are you creating the tickets in the WooCommerce Product or did you create the Tickets from the Event itself.
The Ticket should be created in the event itself in the admin and not in the WooCommerce Product.

ParticipantI am experiencing the same results when adding the ticket to the woocommerce product. I’m assuming this is not possible???
Is there a workaround or a way to allow tickets to be added to a product, rather than a page, post or event?
Cheers,

MemberHi Rebecca,
It is not possible to add tickets to a product as the system gets confused when trying to create the tickets, which are also a product.
It is possible to create tickets for events and post, or other custom post types only.

ParticipantI’ve found that if I add the tickets to an event and then edit in woocommerce then it all works fine. I’ve had to make links to the event page for people to buy and edit the event page so it looks more like a shop page. I’ve done this by using woocommerce featured products shortcode.
Hope this helps.
I would like to know if it is possible to edit the information on the eticket?

ParticipantThanks Brian, Unfortunately can’t quite figure this out.
I’ve tried to locate: tickets/email.php in the plugin folder but can’t find it.
Is there any other way?

MemberThis is the file you want to find:
plugins/event-tickets/src/views/tickets/email.php
And move it here:
yourtheme/tribe-events/tickets/email.php

MemberIt is in the Event Tickets Plugin.
Not in Plus.
You should have that active if you are using place.
It can also be found here:
plugins/the-events-calendar/vendor/tickets/src/views/tickets/email.phpFebruary 18, 2016 at 10:05 am #1077167Geoff
