ParticipantIn a Multisite network, is there a way to set global settings for all the individual site calendars to inherit? E.g. disable Day view, make List View default, set default date format, etc and see those changes applied across the network. Or are they all configured independently?
On the Network Admin of a Multisite installation, under Settings > Events Settings, there are only checkboxes to “hide the following settings tabs on every site.” If any of these are checked, the respective tab disappears from the individual site’s settings, under Events > Settings. This leaves no way for a network admin to configure each calendar’s settings, if they are configured individually. Also, a newly created site in the network would be stuck with the “factory defaults” for whatever settings tabs are disabled, no?
Am I missing something?

MemberHi Dave and thanks for reaching out! These are great questions.

No, there are no global settings. In other words, all settings are configured on a site-by-site basis.
Also, a newly created site in the network would be stuck with the “factory defaults” for whatever settings tabs are disabled, no?
Yes, that is correct. You are not missing anything there. It’s more of a mechanism to prevent any of the default settings from being changed without the Network Admin’s permission.
I do see that it would be helpful to have global settings. In fact, I’m pretty surprised we haven’t seen this come up in our feature request forum. Would you mind submitting this idea there for us so it’s on the radar? It would be great if you could detail what settings you think should be included on a global basis–that is, if not all all of them should be.
Thanks!
