    Hi,

    When using a phone to access a drop-down which is set display as check-boxes it’s not possible to select more than one item. The drop-down closes after you make a selection. Is it possible to modify this behaviour so that it matches what happens on the desktop?

    Also, when setting the drop-downs to auto-complete, is there a way to put the word more in the empty box that appears at the bottom of the list of selections, and needs to be clicked to add more events to the list, like this?

    When using a phone to access a drop-down which is set display as check-boxes it’s not possible to select more than one item.

    Can you tell me a little more about the type of phone and browser you are using?

    Also, I wonder if you might have noticed if this is theme-specific? We do for instance have a fix in the works that prevents the Filter Bar from closing inadvertently in some circumstances – and the problem only crops up with certain themes (so perhaps that is relevant here).

    I would think that’s possible, though it is the sort of customization that goes a little beyond what we can directly provide here in the forums.

    That field is actually driven by the Chosen JS library – so I’d recommend reading through their excellent docs (found here) to get some ideas about how best to do this 🙂

    Hi Barry,

    I’m using Chrome on a Nexus 5. I tested it on the WPShindig site.

    For example, I’m not able to select more than 1 tag. I can select a tag, and then the bar closes. I have time to touch another box before the bar closes, and the line containing the box is highlighted, but no check-mark appears in the box. If I re-open drop-down it and deselect the tag, the drop-down closes after the de-selection. It seems to be permitting just one operation at a time.

    I’ll have a read through the Chosen documentation. Thanks for the link.

    Hi Neill,

    I see exactly what you mean.

    It turns out we do already have a bug report logged for this and on the basis of your own query about this behaviour I’ve bumped up the priority.

    While I can’t offer any estimates as to when the fix will arrive, do note that we’ll do our best to re-open this topic and drop a note in here once it has been addressed (so subscribing to notifications if you haven’t already done so would definitely be worthwhile).

    Of course, we’ll also note any fixes in the appropriate changelog and in a pre-release blog post.

    We re-tested this issue and all seems to be working smoothly in the latest versions of the plugins. Please do update if you haven’t already and see if it is resolved for you as well.

    If the issue is still there, please do open a new thread, reference this one and provide some new details for testing and we’d be happy to check on it again with fresh eyes. 🙂
