ParticipantSo if you click on events on our site you will see the calendar widget in the sidebar. It works great at first, but if you try to look at the next or previous month it just stalls forever…
We have just upgraded and styled the plugin, but the only change we did to the widget was change the background color to white.
Thanks!

MemberI took a quick look and could only see this widget on your /events-cal/ page, where it seems to work just fine. Is there some other URL where I can see this problem/have you since resolved the issue?
Thanks!

ParticipantI uploaded the free version, then wanted more, so I uploaded the Pro. Now the events page is frozen. I click on the event and a blank page of my site shows up. Nothing functions when clicked. http://www.thedesertreview.com

MemberHi desertreview – definitely feel free to monitor this thread, but to receive support for your own problem (which sounds quite different from that reported by hubraleigh) please create a new thread of your own. Thanks!

ParticipantHey Barry, I am sorry…if I go to my events-cal page (http://www.hqraleigh.com/events-cal/) the widget appears correctly, but if I click back or forward on the months in the widget it just stalls out.
I have had a few people tell me about this issue so it isn’t just my computer apparently. Can you not reproduce this?
Thanks!

ParticipantBarry, here is a screenshot of it stalling out. To do this I simply clicked the next month arrow ( >> ) in the widget.

MemberAh, I see. When you opened this thread you noted that you had tried deactivating all other plugins (except those by Modern Tribe) and switching to a default, unmodified theme – did that resolve this? If so, were you able to isolate the problem to a conflict either with your theme or with a particular plugin?

ParticipantWe only have one plugin outside of yours currently so that part is easy and didn’t help.
Here is a screenshot of the issue when I use the default WP theme.

MemberHi David,
I’m surprised to hear that :-/
On taking a closer look at your site I can see that two different versions of the jQuery library are being pulled in and that is highly likely to be at least part of the problem here. One is sourced from ajax.googleapis.com – and this happens to be the older version – while the other is a more recent copy of the library that ships with WordPress itself.
This should not happen on a ‘stock installation’ of WordPress – and our own plugin only uses the shipped version of the library – but it’s something I would recommend resolving in the first instance before we can progress this further.

ParticipantOk, I have removed the extra link to jquery, but the problem has not been resolved.

MemberThanks! With that done, can you repeat our troubleshooting steps (deactivate all other plugins, revert to a default and unmodified theme)?
The reason I am asking you to do that a second time is that I can now see a Javascript error, which may prevent some of our own code from running as expected, and it would appear to relate to assets/main.min.js which is not connected to our own plugin.
Thanks!

ParticipantOk, I have disabled plugins…reverted to the default…issues still occurs

ParticipantWhen I click a different month on the calendar widget I get this error in my console.
XMLHttpRequest cannot load http://hqraleigh.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php. Origin http://www.hqraleigh.com is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Origin. http://www.hqraleigh.com/events-cal/:1
Not sure how to rectify this, but only appears when I click on the widget.

MemberSo I just took another look and the widget seems to be operational – I can navigate back/forwards and it updates as expected – did you find a solution here?

ParticipantIt is still stalling out on my end…
