ParticipantI am trying to modify the ticket and attendees email templates for wootickets. I have created the appropriate files within my theme ([my-theme]/tribe-events/tickets/attendees-email.php and [my-theme]/tribe-events/tickets/email.php) but changes made to these templates are not reflected in any emails that are sent out. Modifications to all site view templates are all being applied appropriately, just not to any of the email templates.

ParticipantHi, Quentin. That’s certainly unexpected behavior.
You’re definitely putting them in the correct place. I’m surprised that they’re not being recognized. Have you had a chance to confirm that if you make the same changes to the files in the plugin dir that the changes are effective?

ParticipantWell, it turns out that the main ticket email template I was editing was just the wrong one on the server, but the attendees email still does not seem to be reading from the template file at all. Editing the template in wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/views/tickets/attendees-email.php does appropriately update the email, but I am unable to override that template in my theme. (wp-content/mytheme/tribe-events/tickets/attendees-email.php)

ParticipantHi again, Quentin! Well, I hate to tell you, but it looks like you’ve found a bug in our latest release.
We’ll get right on fixing that, but in the meantime, you’ll need to edit the file directly. Sorry for the extra hassle!

MemberHi there,
Thanks for reporting this issue. We were not able to get a fix into our forthcoming 3.4 release. However, this issue is still definitely a priority for us and we plan to work on it for an upcoming release. We will update this thread at that time. Thank you for your patience.
Best,

ParticipantThanks for the update Leah. The project I was working on for this actually brings up a related question, hopefully it’s not too bad to post it here; is it at all possible to set up multiple ticket email templates? So that different ticket types or different event categories can have different templates? I have poked around, and it looks like it would only be possible with some hefty hacking of core files, unless I’m missing something somewhere.
If it’s not possible is there somewhere to make feature requests?

ParticipantHi, Quentin. Thanks for the follow-up!
You’re absolutely right in your assessment about using multiple email templates. It’s possible that a plugin like Woot Library could make the process a bit easier on you, but it would still be a pretty heavy lift.
We definitely encourage users to make feature requests and have a User Voice page set up for this purpose. We would be very grateful if you would offer up ideas there as well as commenting on existing ones. When selecting new features to implement, we make our decisions based on the feedback in our User Voice forum.

MemberHi! We’ve now completed some work that ought to address this issue (re template overrides for emails) in our very next upcoming release. Thanks for your patience and if you do hit any further problems with this once you’ve updated please don’t hesitate to let us know in a new thread – thanks!
