ParticipantHi,
I’m hoping you can help. Since the latest update I have noticed that the top navigation bar is missing when selecting to view an individual event. This means the only way the event can be edited is by going through to the main events page.Is there a solution to this, it used to work perfectly before?
Many thanks in advance
Caroline

MemberHi Caroline. I visited http://amnt.org/events/ and am wondering if you’re talking about this gray bar (what we call the Tribe Bar):

And then on a single event it looks like this (no Tribe Bar):

This is the correct way, since there’s no filtering/searching to do from a single event, only from a view of multiple events (e.g. month, list, week, etc).
Please let me know if I misunderstood the topic of your question.
Thanks.

ParticipantHi Cliff,
Thank you for coming back to me. It may be easier for me to show you some screenshots to help explain.
Is there a way I can see you some pictures?
Many thanks
Caroline

MemberThanks for the link and the additional information.
I see now that you’re asking about your site’s main header changing from a fixed/scrolling header to a static header.
All I can tell you is that the Events page is a WordPress “archive” page, and the Event Single page is a “single” custom post type page.
Your theme’s options — or contacting your theme author — would be the place to ask how to get the same fixed/scrolling header on your “.single-tribe_events” template. We cannot provide theme-specific customization support per our Scope of Support Terms.
Thank you for your understanding.

ParticipantHi Cliff,
I’ve had a developer take a look for me and having looked at the page source has found that its cutting off as if there is a PHP error stopping the page from rendering completely. As this was showing correctly previously and has only happened since the last plugin update, the full page now isn’t rendering as should, would you be able to take a look to see if there is an error within the PHP blocking it. The error seems to be when it’s trying to output the Event Meta judging by the comments in the page source. Please can you help resolve this with me.
I haven’t updated the theme at all and the Events plugin was added when the site was built which has been functioning fine over this last year since being live. So I know its something in the recent update causing this issue.
I appreciate your help with this.

MemberCaroline, would you mind enabling WP_DEBUG and sharing any PHP errors you see while navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket?
Once you share your WP_DEBUG findings, we may be able to get an idea of any plugin or theme conflicts.
Please enable WP_DEBUG on your site. You’ll need to edit to your site’s wp-config.php file and change this line of code:
define('WP_DEBUG', false);to this:define('WP_DEBUG', true);
(or add this line of code if you can’t find mention of ‘WP_DEBUG’ in your wp-config.php file)If any errors do appear while navigating your site’s pages, please copy and paste them in their entirety into a new ticket reply — along with the URL of where you saw the error(s) — and make sure you set it as a Private reply.
Let us know what you find. 🙂
