Mini Grid in Sidebar

Hi,
I have 5 events categories, can I use tribe_calendar_mini_grid() to show events of any particular category?

I tried using Events Calendar, it does not allow selecting ‘Events Category’ like Events List Advance Widget, any solution?

Hey Sajid. This is on the radar, but not planned for in the 2.0.5 release we’re working on currently. Check out Jonah’s explanation at the other thread posed on this issue (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/customizing-the-mini-calendar/) and let me know if you still have questions, or if I’ve misunderstood your request entirely. Hey Rob, Thanks for reply.

My site has 5 sections, lets call them sec1…sec5. Each section may have different events.

I like to see a mini grid in sidebar for sec1 only, as I mentioned, ‘Events List Advance Widget’ has ability to filter ‘Events Category’. Does ‘Events Calendar’ widget (that shows mini grid in sidebar) can filter ‘Event Category’?

Is it possible using widget or code (eg tribe_calendar_mini_grid()) ?

Hey Ayaz. Yup, it sounds like what you’re requesting will come when we release a beefed-up version of the calendar widget. Right now it is intentionally pretty bare bones; we added it so we’d have one in place for the 2.0 release but are intending on expanding it’s behaviors (including category selection as needed) as we keep going. You may be able to hack it together using the link above or other solutions on the forums but at this point there is unfortunately no official support for it.
