ParticipantThis plugin is getting frustrating.
Website time zone is set to NY
Timezone UTC time is 2014-10-27 5:32:15 Local time is 2014-10-27 1:32:15
This timezone is currently in daylight saving time.
Standard time begins on: November 2, 2014 2:00 am.

Import manually and all events come in with a time 1 hour later then they are posted as in FB.I understand different timezones come in incorrectly, which they shouldn’t if the plugin was coded correctly, but it’s understood that they do.

MemberHi there – I’m sorry you are experiencing difficulties.
I understand different timezones come in incorrectly, which they shouldn’t if the plugin was coded correctly, but it’s understood that they do.
I’m not quite clear in what you mean by this – if your site is using the same timezone as the events on Facebook there should be no difference when they are imported and, if they are set to some other timezone, they should cleanly be changed to the corresponding time in your local timezone.

These events are in the same timezone yet come in with the incorrect timeThat would certainly be a pain. On looking at the Jukebox Explosion page though I see a range of different timezones are in effect for there events. The first listed event for instance is set to EDT and the next to EST – could that explain the 1 hour difference?
Can you tell me specifically which event this is happening with, or if it is happening with them all?
Thanks!

ParticipantThanks
The daylight savings time, EDT shouldn’t make a difference. That being said after research this doesn’t look to be an issue, at least on your side. It seems that FB event times/timezones are convoluted by design,October 28, 2014 at 2:05 pm #844823Barry
MemberOK, well, at least it isn’t looking like a problem with our plugin code: that being the case and as you marked it resolved I’ll go ahead and close this issue.
If we can help with anything else, of course, please don’t hesitate to open a new thread and let us know!
