    have searched through the forum and discovered that the recurring items is a new function in the Widget Event list.
    I used this code in my CSS to remove it –
    .tribe-events-adv-list-widget div.recurringinfo { display: none; }
    This really ought to be an option and not standard as I can’t think of an occasions where this would be of use

    We welcome feature requests – but don’t you think it may well be useful in some cases (even if not in your particular case)?

    This screencast best explains my problem with it: http://screencast.com/t/w22QwEnMtHjG
    The client has race meetings every Friday and wednesday, and apart from the odd one or two they are always the same so on for ever etc.. So punters coming to the site are just wanting to quickly see in the sidebar see the date of the next meeting.

    When I put 3.6 in it replaced my widget with what you see on the right. So now punters cant see the date of the next meeting and it also appears as if it all winds up in 2015. This isnt the case, its just thats the date the client put the recurring end date to save having hundreds of posts.

    As someone else has said, I would suggest this new feature be optional as it would suit some cases I’m sure, but not in others. Again, great plugin tho guys!

    Sorry in above I mean the dates of the ‘next meetingS’ ie this Friday, next friday etc… The new widget displays the date only of the next upcoming one.

    Hi: I’m very sorry we missed these follow up questions. That was, unfortunately, due to a bug in our forum software (which only notified us of updates when the original poster added a new reply).

    Owing to the amount of time that’s elapsed I will now close this thread and I’d ask that if you still need help you create a fresh thread (and we do anyway prefer that you create new threads where possible rather than post in an existing thread by another user): one of the team will then be only too happy to assist 🙂

    Thanks!
