ParticipantI just upgraded the FREE version to 3.0 and the links in the Events List widget are not working (as David reported above). The title of the event is hyperlinked but the URL is “#” (itself) instead of to the actual event page. You can see an example in the footer at http://flhousedems.wpengine.com/ .
I cleared the cache and re-set the permalinks and still the same.
Thanks for your help!
(I have a PRO license for another site, but this site I’m working on now just needs the Free version.)

ParticipantHi duvaldemocrats,
Have you tried deactivating all other plugins to see if that changes anything?

ParticipantHello, I’m having the same problem: http://hubsaltlake.com (widget links, bottom center of footer)
I have tried deactivating other plugins. Still have the issue.
Also, the Blog link in our nav is being activated when viewing Events.
No core files have been altered.
All of this happened last night when we installed Eventbrite ticket plugin. I’m assuming our Event Calendar plugin was updated at the same time since we are showing 3.0 (not sure what version we had before).
Eager to hear back. If we need to upgrade to pro version, happy to do it. Especially if it gets us quick support to fix this issue. Thanks!July 9, 2013 at 11:06 am #54061hubsaltlake

ParticipantHi hubsaltlake,
Can you please provide us access to your WordPress administration to take a look at this closer? You can privately post credentials here. Do I have permission to deactivate all other plugins and/or switch the theme to help torubleshoot?
Thanks,

ParticipantI was having the same issue where the widget did not link to the event, but to the home page of the blog instead the code is incorrect in this file: /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/views/widgets/list-widget.php
the broken way: php tribe_get_event_link()
should be: php echo tribe_get_event_link()
edit and save that file, and all works greatJuly 12, 2013 at 7:37 am #54716duvaldemocrats
Participant@mprattmd: That worked – thank you!

MemberThanks everyone for your patience! We’ve been getting a number of reports about this. We’ve passed the report on to the developers and hope to have fix in an upcoming maintenance release.
Cheers,
