I am trying to style the mini-calendar to have a linked month heading.

    I feel I am close: http://snippi.com/s/ax1tz77
    • It links to a calendar month-view page (as I want), but defaults to unix 1970 date.
    • I would like the heading to list the month and the year.
    • Scrolling through the months does not change the main title.

The site in action is: http://www.wellseasoned.ca/

I have spent some time reading the forums and while a few people ask about this, most have solved it themselves, or only post partial replies. Apologies if this is a repost.

I’m guessing the $date variable hasn’t been defined. Where is this code running? Is it in a template override?

Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly. Apologies for the missing information. I am using the functions suggested by you here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/mini-calendar-click-month-display-events-from-that-month/ (http://pastebin.com/eyeQ9QvR).

The code is running at: site/wp-content/themes/activetheme/tribe-events/widgets/mini-calendar/grid.php.

OK, if I’m understanding you correctly then the widget solves part of this problem already (it features the date and year in the calendar title).

So all you really need to do is make that link to the actual month view and do it in such a way that it is updated when a visitor navigates forward/backwards through the year. If that sounds correct, can you try using this code in your widgets/mini-calendar/grid.php override?
