ParticipantSo if I license a single site within the multisite (avoiding the need for one of the new) multisite licenses, will I still receive updates to the plugin? If so where will those appear: in the single site or within the network admin? I have it enabled on one of my sub-sites, but I am not seeing the update notice from 3.11.1 to 3.12.1 for TEC Pro.
Alternatively, if I pay the increased cost for the multi-site license can I still license individual sites outside of the network or do I need the Agency license AND the Multi-site license?

MemberHey there, @chrisd2d!
Yes, you can install a single Personal License on a site within the multisite network, installed directly to that sub-site. It will receive automatic updates on the sub-site rather than the network as a whole.
Good question about Multisite vs. Agency Licenses. You can install any of our plugins on any number of sites, but to get the automatic updates for a multisite network, you would need to have a Multisite License for each network, or one Multisite License for the network and another level license that fits the additional need outside the network. If you’re finding yourself in need of more registering more than 10 sites in additional to the multisite network, I would suggest looking into the Unlimited License since that will be cheaper than purchasing multiple difference licenses types to register everything.
Does this help clarify the licensing a little more? Please let me know!
Cheers!

ParticipantGeoff,
I do not see the ability to update in the sub-site where I have the license installed. My understanding is that multi-sites can only run plugin updates from the network admin. Fortunately, I am now seeing the updates in the Network admin (while the plugin is not “network activated”).
Thanks for your help.
One last clarification: The unlimited license covers unlimited single installs AND unlimited multisite? Am I understanding that correctly?
Thanks,

MemberAwesome, thanks for following up!
Yes, you are correct: the Unlimited License covers everything, network and all. 🙂
I’ll go ahead and close this thread since I see you’ve already marked it “Resolved” but do please feel free to let me know if any other questions pop up and I’d be more than happy to help.
Cheers!
