ParticipantRecently some issues arose that are not allowing me to create recurring events.
I’ve done this process multiple times to ensure I wasn’t missing anything; here’s what happens (as of Aug 12, 2015):
1. Create new event (setting a title and some body text)
2. Setup as recurring with the following settings:
Start Date & Time: 8-21-2015 @ 12:00pm
End Date & Time: 8-21-2015 @ 4:00pm
Recurrence: Every Week and will end On 11-20-2015
3. Publish
At this point I get the following messages at the top:
“You are currently editing all events in a recurring series” and
“Event published. View event”
When I go to view the event, it shows the “Recurring Event (all)” message. When I click the “(all)” link, I get a “page not found” error. No events are (other than the first one) are created (or at least, are not visible on the calendar or internally in the Events list).

ParticipantJust retried the process as outlined above, but used “Custom and will end After 4 events” for the recurrence settings (set to happen every week on Friday).
This worked, in so much as it created multiple events, the “(all)” link works, and events show on month view.
Of course, no one wants to have to calculate the # of events, so hopefully this can be resolved 🙂
Thanks!

MemberHi,
Sorry for the issues you are having.
You have run into a bug with the recurring events where the end date is not respective when using dashes in the date format. It also does this for Day first formats as well.
We are working on a release to fix this issue and I have added this ticket to our bug ticket to notify you when we do ship that.
Let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Thanks

ParticipantThanks Brian.
Is there any workaround to this in the mean time?

ParticipantFYI – I’m not using dashes in my date format and I have the exact same problem with recurring events. Setting a fixed number of events works around the problem but my date setting is dd/mm/yyyy
It doesn’t even create the additional events (only the first) unless I provide the number of events to end after (as described above).
Cheers,

ParticipantSame here. My WordPress is set to d/m/Y format. I believe it’s ECP-specific though.
Hoping there’s a workaround here, or at least an update sooner than later.
Clients aren’t too happy about it :-O

MemberHi,
Unfortunately, both date formats with day first and with dashes cause this issue.
The workround for this until we can release 3.12 to fix it is to change this setting to this:
Events > Settings > Display > “Datepicker Date Format”
To either this:
01/15/2015
Or this:
1/15/2015
I do not have a timeline for the release of 3.12, but we are done with developing it and starting our QA.
Thanks

ParticipantThat’s quite an easy workaround. Solves my issue for all practical purposes.
Thanks Brian!
