ParticipantHi, we’re using https://yithemes.com/themes/plugins/yith-woocommerce-deposits-and-down-payments/ to accept downpayments on ticket orders. It is mostly working, but one deal-breaking issue is that ticket inventory isn’t managed properly. For the downpayment to work it has to create an order and a suborder in WooCommerce. For regular products the YITH plugin handles inventory management properly, but with events it seems like Events Calendar looks at the total number of orders.
YITH ([email protected]) has asked if the two of you might be able to connect and potentially resolve the issue between the two plugins. Is that a possibility so that proper ticket inventory management is possible? You can reference ticket 79993 on their side. I’m also happy to share their plugin.
Thanks!

MemberHi Ken.
Thanks for the detailed request!
Could you please provide a .zip of the latest version of their plugin before I ask one of our developers to take a closer look?
Please also provide any non-obvious, required setup steps we should know about.
Thank you.

ParticipantHi Cliff,
Sorry about the really long delay on this. We had some time constraints so we needed to solve it internally. In case someone else out there runs into the same issue, I’m attaching a screenshot of the code we added to get Event Tickets Plus working with the YITH plugin. I’ll also attach the plugin in a private attachment so you can take a look in case you consider adding native support for it.
Thanks!

MemberThank you very much for your generous contribution!
I see this plugin has about 400 active installs at this time. Therefore, it’s probably best we don’t roll this into our core plugin at this time, but we definitely hope it works well for you long-term and again appreciate your willingness to share!

ParticipantHi Cliff,
Please note that the free version you linked to is different than the Premium version of the plugin that I attached. The Premium version has no dependencies on the free version (so they wouldn’t be installed at the same time). As such, the active site number isn’t representative, but I have no idea of the actual user base. We just couldn’t find any reasonable alternative to allowing deposits on ticket purchases and this seemed like this best fit, even if customization was required. For other users requiring deposits this may be a viable solution.
Anyway, this can definitely be marked as resolved, but I wanted to leave it open so you’d see the note about the versions.
Thanks!

Anyone who finds this in the future and wants Ken’s solution, please create your own separate support ticket and link to this one when describing your issue.
