We have a user with Author privileges whose role is to create new events, and manage the ones they have created.
Everything is working as expected so far, except for this one hiccup:

When the user duplicates an event created by another user, the new event is still listed under the original user, meaning the ‘new’ author cannot edit it.

I can understand why it is this way, but the expected behaviour is for Events Calendar to duplicate the event, then change the Author to the person who duplicated the event.

    Howdy gatewaydevelopment,

That would make sense to me as well. One thing I do not understand, how are you duplicating the event? Are you using a third party duplicator plugin?

Aha, yes; it’s been such a part of our workflow for a while, that it didn’t even cross my mind.
We’re using post duplicator, and of course the logic would be in that plugin, so I’ll follow up with them.

    Thanks!

Ahh that all makes now. I hope they are able to get that swapped around for you, it sounds like a great plugin. Cheers!
