ParticipantWe know that the plug-in does not have a built-in importing function. Yet we have 600+ events to enter. So we used a 3rd party importing plugin. Then everything is kinda messed up (yes we have a backup, phew!) . What I did was to import all events with minimal information: post title, post body text, post-type, _EventStartDate,_EventEndDate. I am guessing something else is missing. Can you list everything we need to import to a postmeta table? Or is this bad idea? Like I said I have a backup always so I am willing to be a genuine pig on this.

ParticipantMy plan is to import all events, edit each event to fill out the rest of information, and save it. This is a list of recorded inserted into postmeta table. Which one do we absolutely need in order to make the plugin functional? My assumption was, if I initially insert “post title, post body text, post-type,_EventStartDate,_EventEndDate”, and save the event, it would create the rest of metadata.

ParticipantHi, Takuya. That is a really daunting number of events to bring over. Unfortunately, we don’t have anything in place to accomplish that kind of import at this time.
You’re more than welcome to check out our documentation to see if you can come up with something that works, but I’m afraid this sort of customization is outside of the scope of our support here.
In case it’s at all helpful, please know that our Facebook Events and Eventbrite Tickets have import functionality, but it doesn’t look like that’s what you’re looking for. We are working on a CSV importer that will eventually be added to the 3.x product, but it’s not ready for testing yet. If you would like to be part of the eventual beta testing group, please drop us an email at pro a/ tri.be.
Good luck!
