How do I eliminate started events in the front page widget?

Hi guys,

Would like to find a smooth way to eliminate the view of started events in the Event Calendar Widget.
I am running several events that stretches over 1 or 2 months, so I’d like to keep them in the ‘main’ calendar view – to inform visitors what is going on, but the front page would benefit of NOT showing events that have already started, even though the end date is far off.

I realize that the widget uses the database from the calendar itself – obviously 🙂 – and that it shows what is listed in there, but is there any way to come around it?

I’ve got the style as I want it using a custom file in:
“MY THEME” / tribe-events / widgets / list-widget.php

Short description:
Don’t show events in widget that have already started, without interfering with the main calendar.

Hi hallahund,

I can definitely see the utility of this and believe there is some code floating around the forum in relation to the 2.x series of our plugin. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to locate it at this time and it is a touch outside the normal scope of support we offer here.

We’ll certainly add this to a list of tutorials we plan on writing for the latest incarnation of the plugin – in the meantime if you need something right now I’m afraid we’d need to leave you to dig into some code or work with a developer to this end.
