Hide Empty Tags

We have several tags listed but they match only certain categories. We list the category events on different pages and therefore only want to show the tags that have events tied to active tags. the tags that have no events in that category are showing up and look strange. I voted for the idea, but wondering if there is any snippet that can be used to hide empty tags.

Unfortunately we don’t have a snippet to hide the empty tags in the filterbar.
