Is there an easy way to change the pin on google map for events?

Hi,

The pin is set by a script, which does not have a method to change with a filter or hook.

You could remove our scripts and add your own.

So if I understood you, it’s not possible to add a php snippet to my theme functions to modify the pin?!

by the way I can’t find the directory you mentioned in the reference post in /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/resources/ same problem for events-calendar-pro

Hi,

Sorry that was an old version of the plugin before 3.10.

The new directory is /src/resources/js/

Unfortunately, the only way to change it to modify the script. There is no snippet that can do that.

Found the locations but it’s too complicated for me to change the java scripts. I was hoping to find a straightforward way.

What exactly are you trying to change about the pin? Are you trying to move it? Or change its appearance?

I want to use a customized icon as the pin.

Unfortunately, the only way to achieve this is through creating a custom script and replacing ours. I would like to have better news on this, but that is the way it is built.
