ParticipantHi Tribe, just wondering if when people drill down into an event, is there anyway to move the google map to be after the event description? People often don’t scroll down and therefore miss all the important information. Thanks

MemberHey Kylie. I believe this FAQ will help with what you’re seeking: https://theeventscalendar.com/?qa_faqs=how-can-i-place-the-map-featured-image-below-the-event-description-instead-of-above. Let me know if not and I can get Jonah to take a look.

ParticipantI want to switch google maps off (would like to use Open Street Map). I’ve unticked The Enable Google Maps box but the maps still appear. I’m using Events Calendar PRO 2.0.1 with WP3.2.1 and the Twenty Ten 1.2 theme.
Regards

MemberHey Geoff. Thanks for the note; sorry to hear you’re having issues. So you’re saying that even after unchecking the box, your events on the frontend show an embedded Google Map? That is bizarre and is not how the plugin should be behaving. Any chance you can send me a link to somewhere I can check this out? You don’t have another plugin active that’s automatically adding a map of its own, right?

ParticipantMany thanks – You were totally correct, I had the OSM plugin activated 🙁
Is it possible to use http://www.streetmap.co.uk/ instead of google maps?
Once again thanksDecember 1, 2011 at 7:57 am #11607Rob
MemberAt this point, switching the map used would require some serious hackery that we’ve unfortunately not got the bandwidth to provide direct support on. And even then it’d be difficult to get working and would require hacking at the core plugin files…we’d definitely advise against it if possible.
Sorry I couldn’t offer more here. Let me know if you’ve got any further questions on this.
