ParticipantHi, I was wondering if there is a way to order events in such a way as forthcoming one off events appear before the ongoing events exhibitions.
For example our site currently shows summer-long art shows etc. on the list ahead of the one off events which would be missed by visitors to the site. I site want to long running events to show but wither to have them show at the end of the list or perhaps off in their own section…
I suppose one way would be to create an event category of ‘exhibition’ or ‘long running’ and exclude these events from the main feed. But that’s going to be hassle as a lot of this events are being importer directly via a xml feed.
The ideal solution would be to detect if an event is a long running one and automatically label it or automatically display it at the end of the list but I’m not sure how I would do that.
Thanks.

MemberHi,
Thanks for using our plugins. I can help out here.
We do not have a feature to give prioirty to One Off Events over Recurring Long Term Events.
You can use the Sticky in Month View option in each single event to make that event appear first in the day.
That can help there. You can also check the setting “Recurring event instances” to only show the first instance of recurring events in list views. That would help those views not be filled with recurring events and only show the next upcoming event in the series.
We do not have any features beyond that right now, if you think that is something you would like as a feature I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there.
Thanks

ParticipantThanks Brian, I think the issue has been that the event xml feed I am importing doesn’t have recurring events per se, but instead has events that are listed as starting on day x and running until day y with no info on which actual days they are on.
So I am going through changing them to recurring events instead. Consider this ticket closed for now and I’ll shout if I need any further assistance. Keep up the good work! Thanks!
