ParticipantHi there,
I’m getting an odd error message in the lug-ins area of WP admin:
“The following plugins are out of date: Events Calendar Pro. Please update now. All add-ons contain dependencies on The Events Calendar and will not function properly unless paired with the right version. Want to pair an older version?”
As far as I can tell, i have the most recent version of ECP. However, there used to be an old version. I migrated the events per the instructions, and deleted the plug-in files to boot.
Any idea what I can do to fix this?
Thanks,

ModeratorDamian, it begs the question. What versions of The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar PRO are you using? Also, what version of WordPress.

ParticipantHey Andy,
Sorry, I thought that information would be passed through to the front end here.
– WordPress = 3.4.1
– ECP = 2.0.7
– TEC = 2.0.8
OK, I can see that I need to update ECP. But when I click “update” the page reloads but nothing seems to happen. I’m concerned that my data will go away if I delete and re-install ECP.
Thanks!

ModeratorYour data won’t go away, but you should download the latest version of ECP 2.0.8 from here and install it directly. There seem to have been issues in getting ECP to self-update and sometimes a direct reinstall is needed.
Go to the top of this page, when you’re logged in, and from the Account Central > Downloads page, get the current version.

ParticipantOK, I downloaded it and I’ll re-install.

ParticipantHi again Andy,
I was going to delete and re-upload the ECP plug-in but got the following warning:
“You are about to remove the following plugin:
The Events Calendar PRO by Modern Tribe, Inc. (will also delete its data)”
Is this what you meant by direct re-install? Delete and re-upload? Just wanting to be careful with my client’s data here. =)
Thanks!

ModeratorDamian, wait till Rob or someone from Modern Tribe gives you the OK before doing this or on the proper method. I think I saw it here somewhere before. There’s a lot of talk about it here.
I don’t think the recommendation is to delete via the plugin panel, but simply to reinstall using on top of the existing installation. Deleting via the plugin panel will remove data specific to the plugin from the database in well behaved plugins. Now this may just be ECP specific data and not actual events.
